BIG Payday!

While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my four-year-old daughter on my rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced for the inevitable questions, she merely turned and whispered, “The tooth fairy will never believe this!”

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

Homespun Wisdom

  • Troubles in marriage often start when a man gets so busy earning his salt that he forgets his sugar.
  • Too many couples marry for better or for worse, but not for good.
  • When a man marries a woman, they become one—but the trouble starts when they try to decide which one!
  • Remember, just because many couples “harp at each other” does not mean that their marriage is made in heaven.

“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser.” Proverbs 9:9
